Day 5. 20 Days to go before Christmas.
Tea: Cream of Earl Grey (Black Tea)
I had brunch with a friend a few weeks back and she was telling me about how difficult life has been for her lately. She’s been going through a crazy emotional rollercoaster that no one would and should ever experience. I asked her if there’s was any way for me to help, but she told me that she wants to figure it out on her own, at least for now.
There’s a lot to be said about learning to heal one’s own wounds. It’s never easy, but the sooner we realize that we have to heal it ourselves, the easier the recovery will be. The path to self-healing is long and arduous. Many times, we’d rather give up. But we shouldn’t think that way. We just need to realize that we’re capable of doing it ourselves. We have to remember that even though having someone who could help us heal ourselves is good, healing won’t begin until we start recognizing the pain and accepting the hurtful truth. Keep in mind to always love yourself. It’s not selfish at all because only then will we be able to put the pieces back together again.
