Day 21. On winter

Day 21. 4 Days to go before Christmas.

Tea: Hot Chocolate (Pu’erh Tea)

On winter

The winter solstice (which is happening today) marks the official start of wintertime. We’ve been getting lots of snow and subzero temperatures in the past couple of weeks though so it felt like it was already here, and it’s not fun. To date, I’ve slipped twice while walking (thankfully, I wasn’t injured on both occasions). I’ve also been in the middle of a crazy snowstorm, and I’m getting the feeing that it won’t be the last this season.

That said, there are wonderful things that come with winter. The snow (when it’s not muddy and slushy) is pretty. It even glitters at night, making you feel like you’re walking in a winter wonderland. It’s also the season for hot beverages—tea, coffee, hot chocolate—that will make your heart warm. And if you’re the outdoorsy or sporty type, there’s an array of winter sports for you.

Love it or hate it, winter is here and not even Donald Trump and his climate change denier friends can stop it from happening. I guess the Starks remained true to their words after all.
