Day 7. On books

On books

My love for books started at a very young age. It’s no surprise since my grandmother was a librarian. I had hundreds of books at my disposal. I think one of first books that really left a huge impact on me and jumpstarted my love for books is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. Then came Harry Potter and that started a whole new level of obsession with books. Who would have thought that more than 15 years since I first read The Sorcerer’s Stone, I would still be hooked up to this day.

I’m in love with contemporary literature as much as I love classics like To Kill a Mockingbird and Pride and Prejudice. On a lazy Sunday morning, I’d be reading Charlotte’s Web or Lord of the Flies. On a cold December evening, you’d most probably see me holding a John Green or David Levithan book. On a sunny afternoon in the park, I’d be romanticizing or penting up emotions over a collection of poems. On a regular weeknight, I’d be taken to a world full of adventures by my comic books. Books will always be my first love, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. 📚♥️ #DAVIDsTEA #Christmas #tea #books
